As much as I like the song "What is Life?" by George Harrison & the book this movie was based on I think this song is a very weird choice for this trailer & possibly this movie's soundtrack because it's about romantic hopes from a grown man's perspective not a preteen girl's 😳
IMHO what they needed is something from that era from a woman singer that would speak for a preteen girl's hopes & dreams, more like Janis Ian's "At Seventeen" though I know these girls are a few years younger than that too.
Judy Blume saved my life! how she was so brilliant & intuitive is a mystery. she was, somehow, deeply IN OUR MINDS, her writing, amazing in an almost other-worldy way..and her books should be 'required reading' for every pre-teen & teenager in the world..thank you so much, Ms. Blume!💛💖🌿🕊🌷🧚🏾♀
My 12 year old self is freaking out
I was obsessed with the book when I was in 5th grade so I can't wait for this movie!!
Yep, there's one movie that didn't need to be made, and this was it.
I thought this book was from my preteen days in the 90s, I didn't realise it was actually over 50yrs old! It shows that it was just as relevant in the 90s as when it came out. I wonder how young girls today view this book. Looking forward to watching the film! I must read the book again first, I remember how I felt reading it, but not the content, aside from the period part!…..on a side note, it scares me how fast time goes with Rachel McAdams playing a mother to a daughter that age. it felt like yesterday she was Allie in the Notebook
one of my favorite childhood books 🥺
This is going to get excoriated by the woke mob.
Can't wait!!!
" We must! We must! We must increase our bust!" killed me 😭😭
I really hope they address her religious curiosity it was a huge part of the book & it's where I first learned that Judaism existed
I think I read this book twenty times, along with every other Judy Blume book. She was the BEST.
remember reading this at what, 10? stoked to see it in film
I'm so watching this..Also Rachel McAdams doesn't age👍🙂
I just think of deadpool when I'm hearing this
My goodness the "We must, we must increase our bust…" reminds me when I was in elementary my mom use to make fun of these words as part of an afternoon exercise… hahahha!
So, Regina George trying to teach her daughter how to go thru high school…
Oh boy haven’t seen that title in awhile, since I was a teen in the late ‘70s! Can’t believe there’s a movie! I must take my daughter to see it with me, she’s in her late teens now.
I read this (library) book as a kid. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
wow it took hollywood long enough to make this one
“We must we must we must increase our bust!” Lol I remember reading this book in 6th grade!
Rachel McAdams doesn't change a bit
Yay a normal movie! No iPhones or internet. The good old days 🎉
One of my favourite books growing up in the early 90s. Looking forward to this. However, the young actress playing Margaret, doesn't come across as the type of girl I imagined she'd be. Also, slightly too young.
Oh God it made me cry ha ha! just watching it… a pivotal book for a tender age… it went viral with all the girls in my Catholic grade school
Rachel is a timely beauty. She beams sunshine !
omgosh!! We must, we must increase our busts!!! I am dying!!
Full circle moment: Rachel McAdams is now the “(not a regular mom) cool mom” 🤯
I remember this book and attempting to increase my bust!😝😂 I can't wait to see this movie.
Can't wait to see this! It is a classic!
I'm not a girl and I haven't read the book so I have absolutely no reason to see this movie. But this is so fascinating(?), I have to watch it!!
This was such a favorite book of mines. I read like 9 years ago😢. I’m 22 now , IM excited
I am screaming! 12 year old me from the 90's will be there!
It's been like 40 years since I read the book, but damn, I'll watch this movie.
I would rather young girls read the book.
