  1. My gosh this was a masterpiece of work. I grew up with Elvis,
1962birth, I really didn't understand the complexity of it all growing up but loved him. Only 14 when he died. I took it ok but many didn't.. I'm a history minor, bs in education and love music. Had to stop at the near end being upset as I know the ending. But it really will help this new generation understand what Elvis meant, even more to me now after seeing this movie. It bridges many pieces for me at age 60..
The Elvis actor is remarkable and Hanks does an outstanding job as well..I have a great story, of course, nothing like this one ! I need to publish and put it on paper or ebook or something, whoever did this movie I sure the heck could use them..mine is something like the Hoosier or Glory road in the storyline and it's based on all true facts. Hoosier is made up on some aspects – Mine is not and I wish I had some help to get mine done for those who love great movies..this one definitely is. Thank you for helping us to understand his life better.

  2. I had high hopes for this movie. I went to the last theater in town that still had it showing a few days ago. The lights went down, sound started but no picture. Sat through 5 minutes before management announced the projector bulb had burned out and show was canceled. Thank God because in that 5 minutes I heard the worst German accent coming from Tom Hanks and I wouldn't have been able to sit through 2 hours of it.

  3. I'm a big Elvis fan and this guy looks no where's near like Elvis. When are movie producers ever gonna get it thought their thick heads that look-a-likes is PARAMOUNT when making documentary movies!!!!! What a waste of film time and money, and the same goes for that old Johnny Cash movie Walk the Line….

  4. I bought the movie and watched a little yesterday. It had me laughing and crying! Austin Butler is unbelievably flexible and admirably spot on! Tom Hank? Genius as usual! I will enjoy this movie for years!

  5. You had to wait till the end of the movie Elvis to really see what a huge talent Elvis was and as others have said he was a god given talent shaped by a u unique upbringing and unique exposure to such a rich culture of blues and gospel. Bloated with opiates and goodness knows what else and close to death one of his crew holds the mic whilst he sung one of his hits at the piano. It was gut wrenching to watch but it was pitch perfect and frankly the best I’ve ever heard him sing that song. He gave his all only to be cursed by that wretched manager of his. …
