This is the Metal Gear series spiritual successor imo. Kojima is treating these as films and he's the director. He's always watching movies and probably getting inspiration for new ideas.

Immeasurable dissapointment when I found out there’s a sequel to one of the biggest disappointments ever experienced. I really hope it’s not more of the same. Seeing people trying to defend the first game was laughable. People calling the story a masterpiece all the while the dialogue is a complete head scratcher from beginning to end. I’m sorry to all that I couldn’t enjoy the “frustrations” the way everyone else did. At the time my real life job was delivering packages for Amazon. That was torture. So coming home to a game to deliver packages was brutal and played a big factor into my disappointment of this game.
I'm going to make a prediction that may be wrong, but the hair on the guy at the end with the red mask looked like older Sam's hair. I would love to see him take on the role of a bad guy.
It's unfortunate we are unable to share experiences because I absolutely love death stranding and it healed me of my depressive state at the time and im so thankful for it and Hideo for bringing this to us. DS2 FTW!!!
