I feel this movie has upgraded the entire hero-based (not superhero) action genre.
Usually action consists of a hero going around destroying scores of enemies; but it always feels like if you were the enemy in real life you wouldn't take turns to fight the hero, you would all jump him at the same time. Also, you could just shoot the hero while he is busy fighting someone else.
This is the first action flick that I've ever watched where the hero doesn't leave any openings, and the enemies all attack at the same time and don't take turn. Although I know better, it genuinely feels like someone could actually do this in real life. Also the savagery is out of this world, this dude is an effing machine.
If you're reading this and haven't watched it yet, trust me, you're missing out. If you like action movies, this is a must.
This is definitely one of the best action movies to test home theatre. Chris Hemsworth's acting is outstanding. Gripping story. masterpiece.

I watched it, it was excellent!
I feel Hemsworth drew a lot of the inspiration for the role he played from the Russel Crowe character in"Proof of Life" however I would have to say that Mr Crowe is a better actor, but then again he throws telephones at people in real life, so maybe the difference is Russel wasn.t really acting?
