The film is in its own way a masterpiece. Brilliant design, music and voice work.
Finn Wolfhard destroyed this movie, what was that accent😂
The entire next level of the art of STOP MOTION
the best Pinocchio ever made and hits to hard at the end 🙁
The scenes with father and sons are beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful. Mr Del toro has made a great film.
Great movie that should be appreciated by all. The Making of in itself is a great watch.
This movie hurt me a lot, the hits kept coming and I sobbed. It was a true work of art.
I just watched the behind the scenes and it took 15 YEARS to make. Wow, I am speechless. What a masterpiece!!
Hmm ever wondered 🤔 why do most Disney characters have either a loss or parents or made to look like orphan children?
This is actually the darkest Pinocchio adaptation alongside the Original. Which is a tie for me
I watched 12 seconds. TWELVE SECONDS OF THIS, and I can already tell it's gonna be better than the new Disney Pinnochio
Wtf were they thinking? The KINGDOM HEARTS LEVEL WAS MORE DEDICATED THAN THAT, DISNEY. Go Guillermo!
Here’s the deal: there were tons of orphans back then. He could have adopted a boy very easily.
He comes out in support of child sex abuser and rapist Jodorowski and now makes this movie – about men creating boys to exploit and abuse – just missing Handmaids- nope not supporting this dude any more. God Bless: Macauley Culkin and the other victims of this sick game.
Rare W for netflix. Good job
Another Netflix original with an agenda.
This is the best Pinocchio ever made, hand-crafted by Guadalajara artists, a careful exploring of the human condition. A beautiful film; the aesthetics, rhythm, symbolisms, everything is so wonderful.
What I cannot understand is Carlo does not appear un the movies' poster. But his performance is a key to the movie.
Last scene was the most touching one!!
Bros This Movie Made Me Cry 🥲 and i loved every minute of it❤💯😎
Did pinochio accidently get sent to another planet and become the ancestor of groot?
I just watched this and bravo to its excellence. I loved that this fabled tale took its environment on a much realistic historical background and parodied on it (ridiculing Benito Mussolini 😂).
My toddler absolutely enjoyed this movie, mom and dad did too 😄
After reading comments…I HAVE to watch this! I always wanted someone to elaborate on Pinocchio bc I relate to it so much. Also after realizing when I was older how bad the bad guys were in the original story it made the story kick a little harder. Disney couldn't do too much without it being a Disney style movie…but I know Del Toro will probably touch the darker aspects which always makes the protagonists victory in the end so much sweeter. Ty for the reviews everybody, I'll watch it tonight!
That movie make me cry at the end 😔
I did enjoy this. I like his work and the original story.
Just can't help thinking the old man was saved from loneliness at the expense of Pinocios eventual loneliness. Which lasted longer than the old man's would have. Kinda dark.
GDT's Pinnochio is a great example of his artistic creativity & capability, his originality expands in limitless directions with how authentic his work is and the clear time, love, passion that was poured into this.
He deals with reincarnation, karma, life-experiences, soul-being in a beautiful, touching way towards us as humans who are living to work and die instead of living to live a life. I wish we had more discussions and topics like these within movies that deal with evident trauma from the consistent war, anguish & negativity plaguing countries bit by bit because of the control people in high positions of power/aurhority love to exert on society by keeping them stuck in the known & comfortable in the ideas that they're conditioned to conform to. we as people are free, loving-beings who are experiencing & feeling our emotions.
Eddie Cantor – Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast– you also miss the sense of where you are going and why
Sophy Burnham – To believe in god or in a guiding force because someone tells you to is the height of stupidity. We are given senses to receive our information with. With our eyes we see, and with our skin we feel– with our intelligence, it is intended we understand. But each person must puzzle it out for themselves.
Absolutely phenomenal! This animation feels incredibly timeless and natural and I love how 3-dimensional all the characters are.
Such a beautiful movie and trailer
I am grateful for Netflix for making this movie possible. It was an amazing movie. Del Toro put his heart and soul into the movie from the beginning, to the end, and even the credits. I love that it listed animator’s names before the voice actors. They do so much and they get overlooked all the time. The movie had some good themes and it made me want to cry a couple times. It did a good job of making us reflect on ourselves and entertaining us. This is a solid 11.79/10.
Excellent stop-motion, really good voice-actors and THAT KID CAN SING!! I've watched it thrice now!!
What a beautifully crafted movie. This movie is pure art.
The songs, the emotions, and the version of the story it wants to tell.
10/10 for me indefinitely.
I had to watch the behind-the-scenes right after because it was fantastic.
It took many years to get this movie to this point and it shows that they care and wanted to bring the best version of Pinocchio onto the screen. Everyone involved was knocked out of the park and the ending was very moving😪
What a day, what a day!
At first in the movie i was annoyed by Grandpa the way he acts to his child. . . But the ending shed tears in my eyes … Boys do Cry even at 39yo. 😂🤣
❤❤❤❤❤
I am waiting for Tarantino’s, which will steamroll GDT’s… and after that will come Orson Welles’ version, which will be greater than them all!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This movie was near excellent in my opinion. Was worth the price of Netflix for a month alone just for this movie. Damn did I laugh, damn did I cry, and damn did I love it.
i love this version about pinocchio, bravo
I watch the movie untill i realized that the timeline story was in ww2 💀
Omg the best had me crying ❤❤❤❤
I dig GDTs work. Most of it. I absolutely LOVE stop motion. Was very excited to see this. Sadly, I don’t see what everyone else sees in it. Pinocchio is very unlikable and very annoying. The bad guys were just unnecessarily bad and mean just for the sake of being bad and mean. It was a miss for me
