One of my favorite movies of all time. Real & compelling story, wonderfully written, splendidly cast and the job the actors did honored those women’s exceptionally well. History so worthy of being told and honoring those 3 women was more than deserved. I’m so pleased that some of them were still alive to see it for themselves. Excellent job.
Great trailer – thanks:)
I just watched hidden figures and it’s in my movie hall of fame. It’s about 3 black women who worked at nasa and were the first black and first women to break barriers. First black women to play prominent math role in getting America to space and the moon. First black women nasa engineer. First black women supervisor of quants. What moved me the most is they didn’t use race or gender in calculating what they considered possible and didn’t let it distract them from identifying and focusing on the problems they wanted to pursue or were tasked with solving. And in my opinion transcending race and gender (viewing race as just pigment of skin and gender as purely gender) is what allowed them to do what other people around them thought was impossible. When someone said, “you can’t do that why are you deceiving yourself” they didn’t accept the beliefs of others and pursued what they wanted with humility and emotional balance to be ok with themselves regardless of outcome. It also highlighted how being unemotional improves one’s ability to be influential because that clarity helps you identify how what you want can potentially help the people you need support from which incentivizes them….I was watching it and was like, WTH this happened in real life? WHAT A STORY. Teared up a lot. of And also was like, wow, the people who produced this 🫡 FYI it’s on Amazon prime with ads or you can buy or rent it elsewhere
Amen
An example of anti racism and feminism done right in movies
Lol
Anyone know the one song , Sometimes my mind ?
I’ll go with the smart lady! “ John Glen “god speed!
Often times I have come across people of many races who try and tell me I am wrong or have made etrors. When in fact THEY were the ones wrong. How do you politely tell them they are STUPID . The fact that someone is always trying to find something wrong is proof enough they are Jeakous of your intelligence. As a black women I often come across people who continously think that they are smarter because they are male or non black. They laugh behind your back ,not realizing they are the group of idiots. I simply smile and let them think what they want because at some point thses people will have to produce and when they CANT it will be the most humiliating, humbling experience for them.. One lesson I learned early on don't try to prove yourself to anyone take what you know and make money for yourself . People can tell when you have out grown them and the gathering together against you just make them look like the weakling they are.
This may be the best movie I've ever seen in my life, it literally tells all the issues of life.✨
It's a great story, it was a shame they went a little Disney with it.
But if it gets young girls of all races encouraged to take up STEM then I'm all for it ofcourse.
Madea goes to the moon?! Hell yeah dude
Math is the great equalizer.
Beautiful blk women actresses in a good movie about rights and being intelligent
Great movie but the part when Katherine ran out and back for toilet breaks are a little overdone. Too dramatic.
This rewritting of history is logical when you know who owns big hollywood studios.
Women are awesome! Love this cast!!!
This is just another one of Hollywood's attempt to subvert history by making minor contributions by Blacks into earth shattering revelations.
シェルドンクーパー がNASAにいた
That was a really great film.
Amazing true story and film. Huge fan of Taraji P. Henson, among others on this star-studded casted movie. I originally saw it when it came out. I've seen it over and over again. It's become an educational tool in my family. Times are different now, but it's inspiring that there is always room for growth, and to expand the manner in which you think of someone, prior to passing judgment on them. Absolutely, beautiful film. I recommend viewing this!!! Learn from it!!! And live inspired to embrace everyone, no matter what they look like!!! Let's be BETTER!!!
Seen this movie back in Sixth Grade
"Here at NASA, we all pee the same color."
A great inspirational individual DOES change the world.
Where can I read about black history in the us, and all the things they have been through?
where could I see this movie???
This one looks and feels dope ☺️
Can someone recommend other movies like this please i saw gifted hands i like movies who inspired and is not only imaginary histories are real ones …
Pathetic part is in the “greatest“ country in the world this kind of discrimination and bullshit still exist. Mainly because of the divide and conquer red/blue conservative/Progressive republican/Democrat bullshit the government and the media constantly cram down our throats.
WHY AM I JUST FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS MOVIE! It is a very good and touching movie 😭
